The annual pink walk gives cancer the boot

Trees along Viljoen and Voortrekker streets are wrapped in a bright-pink material as a reminder to the public about cancer.

LYDENBURG – The annual Breast Cancer Pink walk took place on Saturday.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and part of an awareness initiative, the Lydenburg CANSA held this special walk.

Participants started walking from outside Longtom SUPERSPAR and ended at Tolbos Coffee Shop at Tumbleweed. They each got a light meal and a pink wrap.

The project aims to reach out to those affected by the disease and to raise funds to fight it.
