White River Primary School hosted 13 schools from all around the Lowveld for a special mini hockey and mini cricket day on Saturday August 3.
White River Primary’s mini sports day is one of the biggest in the Lowveld with hundreds of children taking part and taking over the sports fields at the school.
The day was for U7 and U8 hockey and cricket teams from the various schools, and no scores were kept for the day as the intention was for everyone to simply have as much fun as possible.
Judging by the smiles and laughter that were on display it’s safe to say that goal was achieved as everyone had a blast. The mini sports days that are hosted by primary schools provide the perfect way for children to enjoy a fun introduction to the sports they love to play.
