Basketball fever ignites at Penryn College as brand-new court is unveiled

Penryn has big plans for basketball and the court will see more action in the near future.

Saturday, September 7, marked a monumental day for Penryn as they proudly unveiled their brand-new basketball court with a thrilling triangular series.

The top talent from the host school, Meridian Karino, and Trichardt School for Christian Education (Mozambique), had the honour of playing the first competitive matches on the court.

It was a day of fierce competition, electrifying energy and unforgettable moments as all three schools lit up the court, showcasing their incredible basketball skills in front of a roaring crowd.

The excitement was palpable from the first whistle to the last basket, with each player giving their all and delivering performances that left everyone on the edge of their seats. The atmosphere was electric and the cheers from parents, learners and staff contributed to an unforgettable experience for everyone.

“A massive thank you goes out to the participating schools for honouring our invite, and to SuperSport Schools for capturing every heart-stopping moment live on the SSS app. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to launch our court, and this is just the beginning,” said Xolani Grootboom, head of sports at Penryn College.
