Fewer and fewer tickets still available for Boks versus Argentina

Tickets to the Battle of Mbombela in September between the Springboks and Argentina are selling like hotcakes as there are now fewer than 9 000 tickets still available for the public to purchase.

It’s not much longer until the Springbok boys are back in town in September, and your chances of grabbing a ticket are getting smaller and smaller.

The Springboks are making a highly anticipated return to Mbombela Stadium where they will take on Argentina two years after they rocked the All Blacks in the capital of the Province of the Rising Sun. The match will be played on September 28 at 17:00, and 75% of the tickets have already been sold for the encounter.

With fewer than 9 000 tickets left, if you have not got yours yet, you best do so soon, because you are guaranteed it will be money well spent. This is because Mbombela Stadium has hosted four Springbok test matches so far, all of which the Boks have won, and the wonderful people here in the Lowveld have continuously made sure these tests are some of the most well supported that the Springboks play.

The first match the Boks played and won at the stadium was in 2013 when they beat Scotland. What further enhances the significance of this match is that it was also the same one in which Siya Kolisi made his debut, making 2024’s looming test a special sort of homecoming for the Bok captain.

They beat Wales in true Springboks fashion at Mbombela Stadium in 2014, winning by one point. Two years later, they triumphed over Argentina before returning to Mbombela in 2022 when the team earned a famous victory over New Zealand. This places the Springboks in good standing ahead of the Battle of Mbombela in September, when Los Pumas will become the first team to play the Springboks at Mbombela Stadium twice.

The stadium’s management have also ensured that even when rugby isn’t being played, things certainly won’t be dull, as a surprise entertainment act is being organised for the day.

A traffic management plan is still being developed, but there will once again be park-and-ride options available to the public. They are also placing a huge emphasis on safety and security in and around the stadium.

The match promises to be one for the books, and knowing Mbombela, things definitely won’t fall short of that mark at all. You can either get tickets at the stadium’s ticket office or online at Computicket.
