Pumas U16 and U18 girls’ rugby teams undefeated at rugby week

The U18 girls won two matches and the U16s one at Jeppe High School.

The Pumas U16 and U18 girls’ teams returned from the 2023 Girls’ Rugby Week at Jeppe High School for Boys last week undefeated.

Due to the snow in Johannesburg on Monday July 10 the start of the tournament was postponed by 24 hours. The meant that the U18 girls would still get to play two matches, but the U16 girls only one.

The U18 Pumas were in fine form when the tournament kicked off last Tuesday, scoring a convincing 29-16 victory over the U18 Free State girls.
