The Penryn Mbombela Rugby Challenge produced a thrilling feature match between the first teams of Penryn College and Hoërskool Bergvlam at Mbombela Stadium on Saturday.
The intensity of the match had the many spectators on the edge of their seats.
It was a match in which Penryn had the better of the territory and possession, but the Vlammies made better use of their opportunities.
Bergvlam won 19-14.
The match was played in true schoolboy rugby spirit and was a fitting end to the day on which the young players got to be in action on the pitch at Mbombela Stadium.
The high school results were:
• Penryn U16: 20 – Hoërskool Barberton U16: 19
• Penryn U15: 0 – Bergvlam U15: 41.
