Apart from being a branding exercise to showcase the abilities of BMW’s GS-series of motorcycles, it has become quite competitive.
Regional qualifiers will shortlist riders for the national qualifying event to be held in September. This year, BMW will select a women’s team as well, with the top women from each regional qualifier invited to compete at the national.

The Mpumalanga regional qualifier was hosted by the Sabie River Riding Academy this past weekend. The top-three finishers were Johan Thiart, Warren Venter and Johan Harmse. The top lady finisher was Di McLean.
