Mataffin Riding Club hosts a Winter Warmer Show

According to organiser Tracy South, they received great support and entries into the show from both local and Limpopo riders.

Riders’ skill and experience were put to the test with technical jumping courses at the Winter Warmer Show on Saturday and Sunday.

The course was designed by Muiren Kok from Johannesburg. Mataffin Riding Club once again showed they are always striving to grow showjumping when they hosted this event.

“It was great to have new competitors and horses joining in the event this weekend. It was great to see the quality of riders that came to display their experience,” she said.

South said Mpumalanga showjumping teams get chosen from such graded events hosted around the province.
Francois Combrinck, riding his mare Brandenburg Satisfaction, took first place for all the 1.10 classes for the Adults and Juniors Graded category. He had an excellent weekend.

South said Mataffin Riding Club was very proud to host Ngoni Nyakuipa, who rides Kings Melody.
“Ngoni is a dedicated rider who has shown a keen interest in the sport of showjumping. He has been lent a horse to ride at showjumping competitions.

Mataffin Riding Club and Lowveld Equestrian Club have sponsored all his official membership fees and entry fees for all our events that he wishes to enter.

We are looking forward to supporting Ngoni and his riding career on the competitive circuit,” she explained.
South says the showjumping events are only possible with the local business’ support with prizes and cash for winning riders. “Mataffin Riding Club would like to thank all those involved in making the event successful,” she said.
