Petrolheads in Mbombela ignite their passion for cars during lockdown

It is an open secret that I will never consider myself an authentic petrolhead and I use the term with the greatest of respect towards those who do qualify. #LockdownFor35Days #LockdownSouthAfrica

Yes, I love what I do and there is much proof of this. I love writing about those who love their cars or whatever they love to do or have.

But now during lock down, other than getting some juicy bits together for you to read and doing some reading myself, I have started rebounding again.

Did this for many years – this is one of the reasons why at age 63, I actually look 45. Ouch – did not mean to blow my own trumpet but it is the truth. Go check it out at www.reboundsa.co.za

I have just finished reading The Destiny of Souls by Micheal Newton and whether you believe in reincarnation or not, the author, through scientific study and proof, presents an excellent case for it. I am currently reading The Great Virtues by Andre Comte-Sponville.

Which virtue do you think are of the greatest value to humankind?

The next book on my reading list is The God Experiment by Russel Standard, which investigates the power of prayer.

Other than this, owning property always involves maintenance work and the rest so this is what I do during the lockdown weekend. Also I am quiet, I think a lot about many things, although I call it strategic planning – it is not doing nothing you hear!

But then lets get to the juicy part: I asked a number of local car enthusiasts to share with us what they are up to during lockdown. This is an important question because these guys can be extremely mischievous when not otherwise occupied by their loved ones – read – cars?

Enjoy and be safe.
