Mbombela recognition awards winners announced

These winners will now move to the next leg of judging, which is the national level.

The South African Council of Business Women (SACBW) Nelspruit announced the local recognition awards winners at the Blue Gate on September 26.

The SACBW gives recognition to those businesswomen who have shown extreme dedication, hard work and passion for their businesses at these annual awards.

Tracy-Erin Duggan, the local business leader of SACBW Nelspruit, said the purpose of the awards is to recognise exceptional women in business and to celebrate their extraordinary achievements. Lonice Wessels won the Branch Businesswoman of the Year Award 2024, and she is also the branch ambassador for 2025.

Ashleigh Pauls scooped the Branch Rising Star of the Year 2024. Sylvia Maseko is the Social Entrepreneur of the Year (Warrior Woman 2024). Sezanele Zondi is the winner of the Branch Community Warrior Woman 2024. Marianne de Kock was presented the award for her lifetime dedication to conservation and saving of the rhinos.

Duggan said all the winners will compete on national level against the winners of the other SACBW branches. “The judging will take place on October 10 and the winners will be announced at our gala event in Paarl on October 19.”

Duggan congratulated all the winners and wished them well for the next leg of judging on the national level.
