Dunlop Belting Products Burgersfort invests in the futures of more than 500 matrics

The local Dunlop Belting Products branch visited six schools and donated stationery packs to the Grade 12 learners in preparation for their exams.

In a bid to make life easier for the Grade 12 learners, Dunlop Belting Products (DBP) Burgersfort handed out stationery to six schools in and around Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality (FTLM).
The beneficiaries of this initiative were Manoke, Nyaku, Malengile, Photoko, Mamogege and Mokwadiba secondary schools.

The donations were all made during August. The stationery packs contained pens, pencils and rulers. They were handed over to more than 500 local pupils.

“We are a local business, owned by locals for the locals. We prefer to invest in education as it is the future of our youth. That’s how we give back to our clients,” added Manyiki.

DBP Burgersfort’s directors, Opheliah Manyiki and Joyce Matjipa, said the purpose of the handover was to motivate the learners and to show them support. “We are not only motivating them, but showing them that we care for them. We want to show them we believe in them. We want our kids to have all the resources they need during exams since they are the future,” they told Steelburger/Lydenburg News.

She assured the residents that they would continue donating stationery packs to schools in Tubatse and surrounds in 2025. “We are not only donating stationery, but also motivate students at tertiary institutions and give them tips on studying.”
