Numbi Primary School unveils newly revamped office block

The school is proud to show off its new facilities that will benefit the school.

Numbi Primary School officially unveiled a new office block on August 5 that it had recently revamped and extended.

Manie van Wyk and André Coetzee cut the ribbon.

According to the deputy chairperson of the school governing body (SGB), Innocent Mashaba, the building was funded by the school itself.

“This project idea was passed on to the new SGB. We continued with it because we also saw a need for a new hall. It has been amazing seeing the construction of the project, how it was done and the communication we had with the builder and the chairperson of the project, so everything was a success,” he said.

Mashaba added that they built these offices to sustain the legacy of Numbi Primary School, “because we want to see it become bigger and better.”

Meanwhile, the school principal, Nkosingiphile Khoza, thanked all who were involved in the project, especially the former school principal, André Coetzee, Manie van Wyk who came up with the idea, and the previous SGB members.

“It started as a dream and now it’s a reality for the Numbi family. The facility is for all of us. I don’t want it to be classified as a principal’s building; it is a work station for all of us. Let’s use it wisely for meetings as well. A lot of things are available for us to use. It also belongs to the pupils to use it at any time,” he said.

Khoza added that the school facility should be protected throughout the generations.
