The Komati Basin Water Authority (KOBWA) is a binational entity established in terms of a treaty between the Republic of South Africa and the Kingdom of eSwatini, and is responsible for the design, construction, operation and maintenance of Maguga Dam in eSwatini and Driekoppies Dam in South Africa, as well as their supporting infrastructure.
KOBWA operates from its head office at Maguga Dam near Pigg’s Peak in eSwatini and has a water management office at Driekoppies Dam near Schoemansdal in South Africa.
PURPOSE:
KOBWA invites tenders from reputable, interested, competent and experienced consulting companies to submit a technical proposal (A) and, in a separately sealed envelope, a financial proposal (B) for external audit services for the Komati Basin Water Authority.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
Please follow the requirements for submission outlined for each tender as per the requirements posted on the KOBWA website, www.kobwa.co.za. Inquiries are open until 1 August 2024. Terms of reference documents will be available from 8 July 2024 between 07:30 and 16:00 at either Driekoppies Dam’s (Tel: +27(13) 591 2633) or Maguga Dam’s (Tel: +268 24371463 / 013 591 2644) reception desks upon payment of a non-refundable fee of R/E500.00.
Proposals must be hand-delivered at or before 12:00 on 2 August 2024 at either Driekoppies Dam or Maguga Dam’s tender boxes at reception. Proposals must be clearly marked “CONFIDENTIAL”, as well as the name and number of the tender being bid for, as below;

Tender documents can be procured remotely after proof of payment has been sent to KOBWA. Applicants will be required to sign a tender delivery register at reception.
