Spectators would have been forgiven if they thought a Formula 1 Grand Prix had come to the Lowveld given the supercar display at The Grove SUPERSPAR on Saturday June 22
The aim of the display was to give racing lovers an opportunity to see a Red Bull Racing F1 car in real life.

According to Aubrey Nkosi of The Grove SUPERSPAR, the display drew the attention of many local petrolheads. “It was great to see so many people visiting the store to view the car and take pictures. It shows that many residents enjoyed the experience and being able to see the car up close, and we are motivated to bring it back again.”
The Red Bull Racing car which was on display is based on the 2019 model and has six cylinders, weighs only 150kg and sports a 1 600-litre engine with 900 horsepower.
The iconic car will return to the Lowveld later this year after some improvements have been made. The latest Red Bull Racing model is the RB20.
