Steelwings and Airborne Riders unite to honour fallen brother in Mbombela

The bikers rode together to the spot where Lean van Kradenburg's accident occurred.

MBOMBELA – Members of the Airborne Riders visited the Lowveld on the long weekend and took the opportunity to honour one of their fallen brothers.

The Airborne Riders is a motorcycle club for former members of military airborne units, past and present, who qualified as paratroopers and are entitled to wear the parachute wings of their unit.

The group spent Saturday night at Duma Country Lodge and was joined by members of the local Steelwings Motorcycle Club early on Sunday morning, June 16.

The bikers rode in convoy to a spot on the Croc Valley Road, where Lean van Kradenburg, the then president of Steelwings Lowveld and a former parabat, was involved in a serious motorcycle accident on August 13, 2022.
