Bibliophiles spoilt for choice at Book Lovers’ Market in White River

The market will take place on a monthly basis and will continue to offer a smorgasbord of literary delights.

Bibliophiles indulged themselves at the Book Lovers’ Market held at Casterbridge, a venue known for its various interesting public markets, on Saturday June 22.

According to Dina Orffer, the market’s organiser, there were books galore in almost any genre for children and adults. Locals were not only provided with a smorgasbord of literary delights to buy, but could also sell their own books.

“Since the inception of the market, we have seen a growth in the number of book lovers who come and buy books. We also noticed there are a number of people coming on board to sell their books. That is why we decided that we would host the market on a monthly basis, providing a great platform for local book lovers to buy their favourite books,” she said.

Not only locals, but tourists who visit the centre on weekends are welcome.
