The Rosa Robotic System, or just Rosa for short, was first introduced to Busamed Lowveld Private Hospital in March 2023, making it the first-ever institution in Mpumalanga to offer robotic knee replacement surgery. According to Dr Kuhn, due to the decreased amount of soft tissue dissection, he expects to see better results which have, in the first year, been confirmed by the Francois Theron Physiotherapist team. In conjunction with the newly launched mymobility Patient app in January, they are able to give patients a personalised experience with accurate monitoring during surgery and the post-operation rehabilitation phase.
