Motorcyclist dies in Schoemanskloof crash
A motorcyclist has died and another was slightly injured in a crash at Poplar Creek in Schoemanskloof this afternoon, June 8.
A crash involving a vehicle and two motorcycles resulted in the death of one motorcyclist and the slight injury of another at Poplar Creek, Schoemanskloof, earlier today, June 8.
According to TRAC’s Solange Soares, the report of the crash came through just after 12:00 today. The road was closed following the crash, with the westbound lane later opened for contraflow. The road was opened completely just before 19:30.

The Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison’s Moeti Mmusi said the crash involved two motorcycles and one sedan. He said one of the bikers died while the other sustained slight injuries.
He said the cause of the crash is still under investigation. He urged both motorcyclists and motorists to use the roads cautiously and to remain vigilant when travelling.
