WATCH: R536 between Sabie and Hazyview officially open after roadworks

The road had been closed due to some extensive flood damage in February. Now it has been repaired and put back in service.

With the aim to ensure safe travelling during the festive season, the Department of Public Works, Roads and Transport (DPWRT) has officially opened the R536 between Sabie and Hazyview.

The spokesperson for the DPWRT, Bongani Dhlamini, said, “All road users can use the road. The department has worked tirelessly to ensure that the damages are repaired so that the community and tourists are able to travel safely between the towns during the festive season without any hassles.”
