Mpumalanga youngsters qualify for Sacopa finals

More than 20 youngsters were recently chosen to represent Mpumalanga in the finals of the South African Championships of Performing Arts.

To be a star, you need to shine brightly, and shine was exactly what the young people of Mpumalanga did.

The South African Championships of Performing Arts (Sacopa) held its Mpumalanga auditions at Hoërskool Bergvlam on July 22. Provincial learners competed to reach the coveted finals of this national competition.

Actors, dancers, vocalists and models brought their best to the stage.

Team Mpumalanga was announced, and 26 young people were chosen to represent the province at the finals in Rustenburg from September 29 to October 7. All provinces compete here.

When a participant receives gold at the finals, they form part of Team SA, which will compete at the World Championships of Performing Arts in Los Angeles.
