Geared with forehands and backhands, impressive Lowveld juniors take to the courts

The fifth and final closed tournament of the Lowveld Junior Tennis Association took place on the weekend of July 21. Not only did the players produce some exciting tennis, it was also the launch of the Lowveld Junior Development Fund.

Despite the heavy rain on Friday July 21, the Lowveld Junior Tennis Association (LJTA) was able to complete its fifth and final closed tournament for the tennis year.

This meant many matches for the kids on Saturday July 22 finished under lights and later than usual. Nonetheless, excellent tennis was played and many new friendships were formed on and off the tennis court.
