Barberton man still missing, search continues
One of Hi-Tech Barberton's control room operators, Erik Vermaak, has still not been found after being reported missing on July 22.
Frederick (Erik) Vermaak, a control room operator of Hi-Tech Barberton, has now been missing for more than 48 hours.
A missing person’s case has been opened. He was last seen on July 22 at 05:00 when he was dropped off at home in De Villiers Street, Barberton, after completing his night shift.

According to reports, he apparently left home an hour later in his white Nissan Hardbody double-cab 3 000L V6 with black roll and nudge bar, registration CFG 620 MP.
Sakkie Dednam of Hi-Tech Barberton said aerial searches had been carried out on July 23 and 24, but none yielded results.
