Nelspruit Regional Court postpones JJ Peters’s trial due to technical glitches

JJ Peters has been in police custody for almost 17 months for allegedly killing his grandmother on February 28, 2022.

JJ Peters’s trial was postponed due to technical difficulties at the Nelspruit Regional Court.

Peters appeared in court for his murder trial today, July 19, but due to a technical issue, the state was unable to proceed with the case.

Peters has been in police custody for almost 17 months.

He was arrested for allegedly killing his grandmother, Sannie Strydom Kilmister (68), on February 28, 2022.

At the time of her death, Peters had been sharing her house on a smallholding in the Cromdale area.

She was found dead in her bedroom with various bruise marks on her neck and blood splatters on her pillow.

The trial was postponed to August 2.
