Two Rivers Platinum leads Mining Golf League in Lydenburg

The second round of the Eastern Limb Mining Golf League took place on Sunday June 11 at Lydenburg Golf Club.

The league also welcomed its fifth mine to the competition, the Booysendal Platinum Warriors. This brought the total number of league players on the day to 52.

The leaders in the league are Two Rivers Platinum team one. They accumulated 35 points over the first two rounds, followed by Samancor Eastern Chrome Mines team one with 25 points.
Mototolo Anglo American team one and three each obtained 22 points. Samancor Eastern Chrome Mines team two obtained 15 points.

Jaco van Rooyen, Armine Willemse, Koos Laas, Sandy Henderson and Johann Bezuidenhout (club secretary, Lydenburg Golf Club). Two Rivers Platinum team one was the winning team.

”There is no doubt that the teams were more prepared for the second round, as both individual and team scores improved greatly from the first round. The growing number of players is a welcome sight for Lydenburg Golf Club and the mining fraternity, who have the opportunity to engage socially,” said Johann Bezuidenhout, secretary of Lydenburg Golf Club.

Bezuidenhout thanked Glencore Eastern Chrome Mines for hosting the competition.
