Best of Mbombela honoured at awards
Mbombela's cream of the crop were celebrated and honoured at the Best of Mbombela 2022 Readers' Choice Awards.
The city’s finest in business gathered at Church Unlimited Thursday June 8, for one of the most anticipated events, the Lowveld’s highly coveted Best of Mbombela 2022 Readers’ Choice Awards.
Some of the most well-known names in the Mbombela business sphere were joined by several newcomers in the local business world, all specialising in various areas. From finances, car repairs and education, to restaurants, pets and plumbing, all gathered under one roof to find out which companies would be bestowed with the ultimate accolade from the Lowveld community.
With the venue already perfectly suited for the event, the guests were treated to a variety of warm and cool beverages and tables of scrumptious finger foods, both sweet and savoury, by A Tua Casa’s Elaine Blignaut.
When the ceremony began, the attendees noticed a special addition to the awards handed out to those named as the Best of Mbombela; Standard Bank came aboard the event and handed out beautifully crafted glass trophies to each winner.

A total of 64 awards were handed out under six main categories. Some winners walked away with more than one award. BUCO Nelspruit and Wolf Plumbing and Maintenance both took home four awards each, while The Blue Gate received three.
As soon as the winners were announced on social media, messages of support and congratulations flooded in for the awardees, celebrating the local businesses for their achievements.
Stabilis Chartered Accountants Nelspruit’s Henri Pieters was handed an appreciation award for the auditing of votes.
