Two major milestones at Barberton parkrun
Two participants of the Barberton parkrun reached their 150th milestone in recent weeks.
Barberton’s parkrun recently saw two locals celebrating their 150th runs.
Andrew Lean, a former Barberton resident who now lives in Mbombela, reached this epic milestone on November 13.
Barberton parkrun’s Anke du Toit said that completing 150 parkruns is not an official milestone, and so the group had to improvise with their flags when Lean ran in. The team held up a 100 milestone flag halfway concealed behind a 50 milestone flag to make up the 150.

Du Toit said parkrun milestones are 50s, 100s and then 250s.
On December 3, another local, Riana Steenberg, had her 150th parkrun. Du Toit congratulated Lean and Steenberg for their accomplishments.
