Two trucks and a bakkie were involved in a collision on the Schoemanskloof Road on Monday evening, resulting in two fatalities.
According to Solange Soares, the spokesperson for TRAC, the accident happened between Bambi and Patatanek.

“One truck was allegedly overtaking another vehicle and collided head-on with the second truck, and a bakkie hit the back of the overtaking truck.”
The two occupants in the overtaking truck died.
“The accident was reported at 22:00 on December 20, and the road has been closed ever since to allow for the recovery of the burned-out vehicles and debris to be cleared. Road users are being diverted via Elands Valley.”
Soares said the overtaking truck burned out completely. There is no ETA on when road the will be opened again.
