Blood stocks run critically low

In October, Pompies Joel Ledwaba donated blood for the 42nd time at the Lydenburg SANBS Clinic.

He hoped his example would inspire other donors to do the same.

“I know there is never enough blood and I make sure to donate every second month. I am so happy to know that one drop of my blood could save three lives. I love my community. Donating blood is the right thing to do,” said Ledwaba.

Khensani Mahlangu, a spokesperson for the SANBS, said Mpumalanga’s stocks are currently running extremely low.
