If the Pumas draw and the Sharks win, the Pumas will qualify for the semis. Should the Pumas draw and Western Province win, the Cape Town team will play in the semi-finals and the Pumas’ season will be over.

If the Pumas lose and the Sharks beat Province, the Pumas will be in the semis, but should Western Province win then they will qualify.

Considering the Sharks’ and Western Province’s form this season, the Durban boys should win comfortably at home. It is extremely likely that the Pumas will, therefore, make the semis.

Griquas have been in sublime form this season and their 46-25 thrashing of Western Province on Sunday show just how strong they are at Tafel Lager Park. The Pumas will have to be at their best to win in Kimberley.

Playing the first match of the final round, the Pumas’ destiny is in their own hands. If they win they will not have to wait for the Sharks versus Western Province result at about 20:45 to know if they will qualify for the semi-finals.
