Covid-19: Mpumalanga’s total death toll stands at 1 203

According to data released by the Mpumalanga Department of Health, 66 516 recoveries and a total of 1 682 active cases were recorded on February 17.

The number of positive cases in the province can be broken down as follows:

 

Ehlanzeni District 

• Bushbuckridge: 5 730 cases, 5 459 recoveries and 128 deaths

• City of Mbombela: 14 480 cases, 13 932 recoveries and 145 deaths

• Nkomazi: 6 373 cases, 6 177 recoveries and 52 deaths

• Thaba Chweu: 2 243 cases, 2 136 recoveries and 24 deaths.

Gert Sibande District

• Chief Albert Luthuli: 2 024 cases, 1 914 recoveries and 23 deaths

• Dipaliseng: 591 cases, 565 recoveries and 15 deaths

• Dr Pixely Ka Isaka Seme: 2 603 cases, 2 455 recoveries and 113 deaths

• Govan Mbeki: 6 191 cases, 5 953 recoveries and 71 deaths

• Lekwa: 2 157 cases, 1 998 recoveries and 69 deaths

• Mkhondo: 1 472 cases, 1 381 recoveries and 65 deaths

• Msukaligwa: 3 699 cases, 3 535 recoveries and 92 deaths.

Nkangala District

• Dr JS Moroka: 1 333 cases, 1 271 recoveries and 37 deaths

• eMakhazeni: 978 cases, 917 recoveries and 24 deaths

• eMalahleni: 10 546 cases, 10 215 recoveries and 166 deaths

• Steve Tshwete: 6 248 cases, 5 982 recoveries and 120 deaths

• Thembisile Hani: 1 879 cases, 1 796 recoveries and 47 deaths

• Victor Khanye: 854 cases, 830 recoveries and 12 deaths.
