KNP says its ready for possible Eloise repercussions

The park has started issuing warnings to guests. #CycloneEloise

Ahead of the possible effects of Cyclone Eloise, the Kruger National Park (KNP) has started notifying guests of possibilities surrounding storms. 

Spokesperson for the park, Isaac Phaahla, said they have especially warned guests booked at wilderness trails and Sabie Hide. In Pafuri all gravel roads and picnic sites have been closed.

“KNP has activated the disaster management teams to be on standby to assist when the need arises.

“Our scientific services colleagues are monitoring the storm closely with updates from the South African Weather Service (SAWS) and they will warn us in time if there is a need to evacuate certain areas.”
