“I look forward to not only forming a bond with the Curro Academy Mbombela learners, but the parents in the community too.”

Mashila brings with her an array of diverse skills.

“These include instilling processes that advocate for 21st century teaching, project-based learning, maximising technology in education, communications and marketing, and stakeholder relationship management.”

She has been part of the Curro family for some time. “I was the head of the primary school at Curro Academy Soshanguve in Gauteng.

Before joining Curro I was the head of the primary school at Edendale Independent School and a principal at Valhalla Primary.” She is originally from Ga-Rankuwa in North West.

Mashila said as the school their plans include outsourcing a few special sport and cultural activities like ballet, soccer, development of hockey, cricket and softball. “It is my aspiration to grow the school to a level where we can hire our own professionals to do such activities. Mashila added that Curro’s vision is to develop the learners into leaders and Curro Academy Mbombela is eager to do just that.
