Fire breaks out at Letaba Rest Camp in KNP

The fire broke out last night, but has since been brought under control.

After a fire broke out in Letaba Rest Camp in the Kruger National Park (KNP) on Wednesday evening, the park kept the public up to date on the situation with a series of tweets from its Twitter account.

Lastly, the park sent the following message out this morning.

“This morning guests and staff are waking up to a horrible sight of the burned TV room and shop at Letaba Rest Camp. The fire was finally brought under control this morning without any casualties. Well done to all involved. Investigations into the cause of the fire have commenced.”
