In a press release, the City of Mbombela Local Municipality requested that all private water tankers operating within the City should urgently contact it to obtain their temporary permits.
It had received calls and complaints from some water tanker operators that had been halted by officials for operating without the necessary documentation. These individuals asked the municipality’s assistance with this matter.
“The City realised the importance and significance of their operations in maintaining the lives of our people during this period,” stated the press release.

Any operators in need of a valid permit should urgently contact the Department of City Planning and Development’s Vincent Mabuza on 013-759-9056 or 082-545-9512.
These temporary permits are available at the Mbombela Civic Centre from Tuesday at 10:00.
