According to Callum MacPherson of Hi-Tech Security, a hapless member of the public fell victim to a robbery at about 4:00 this morning.
“He was accosted by two men who robbed him of his cellphone and fled the scene,” he said.

Fortunately for the robbery victim, a Hi-Tech Security reaction vehicle passed close to the scene. He flagged them down and informed them of the incident, asking that they provide assistance.
The officers immediately followed up and apprehended the pair of robbers who had made their in the general direction of the CBD.

“The incident happened close to the SABC building and the officers were flagged down across the road from the Sars building.”
Fortunately no weapon was used during the robbery and the man was not harmed during the incident. After the robbers were apprehended, the stolen cellphone was recovered and the duo taken to the Nelspruit Police Station for a charge of theft to be laid.
