Suspect caught from linked fingerprints

The local police arrested a man suspected of housebreaking and theft out of motor vehicles after discovering fingerprint evidence.

BARBERTON – The arrest was made by Sgt Isaac Ndhlovu on Monday, after the suspect’s fingerprints had been positively linked to those found at the crime scenes.

According to Capt Jabu Ndubane, Barberton police spokesman, after his arrest, the suspect was interrogated.

She said the suspect then led the police to places where he allegedly sold some of the stolen items.

The 31-year-old man is due to appear in the Barberton Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday on charges of housebreaking and theft

Ndubane said there might be a possibility that more charges could be added.
