Rampant models run away with accolades

The models of Ramps-to-Runway Lowveld recently came home with a number of national titles, after competing in Mr and Miss Junior South Africa.

MBOMBELA – The competition was held from April 4 to 8 at the ACPP Portuguese Hall in Pretoria. Out of the nine Ramps-to-Runway Lowveld models, two were finalists and seven came home with official titles.

The young models competed in varied age groups, from age six to 19. Their coach, Manda Gomes, not only taught them modeling etiquette, but believes in the power of life coaching.

“I want to inspire the best in them, instill confidence, and help them reach their goals,” she said.

They were judged on their ability to answer questions and introduce themselves, their confidence and personality, overall impression, poise, natural beauty and grooming, ramp skills and community projects and involvement.
