MBOMBELA – The man seen repeatingly hitting a motorist at a traffic light this morning intends to hand himself over to the police.
A video has surfaced of the violent incident in which the driver of the bakkie is violently hitting the driver of the Ford Kuga through his window.
The incident took place at the Ferreira Street traffic light near the El Madré centre. He reportedly blocked the Ford driver off and attacked him. Other motorists were hooting at him, but he was not deterred.
Capt Dawie Pretorius has confirmed that a case has been opened. The newspaper understands that the man has arranged with SAPS to hand himself over when he returns to the city on Monday.
Lowvelder has been notified of the identities of both parties involved.
