It is alleged that the officials manipulated the system by registering normal people as disabled but were receiving disability grants

TONGA – The Hawks arrested eight officials working for  South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) for corruption involving R5.5 million and plan to make more arrests. Hawks spokesperson Capt Dineo Sekgotodi said they had arrested one male and seven females whose ages are between 32 to 63 who worked in the SASSA department.
