St Peter’s Primary School grade 1’s continue a 60-year tradition

The school welcomed 47 new grade ones to three classes, but noted they had a number of late applications.

MBOMBELA – While certain grade ones experienced their moment of excitement and mixed emotions last week, on Wednesday it was those attending private school’s turn.

At St Peter’s School, celebrations were in order as grade ones and other new pupils each rang the school bell as per tradition.

Headmaster Mr Jacques Janse van Rensburg, welcomed the new learners, and told them how the sisters of the esteemed Catholic school had rung the bell in 1957 when it was established.
