Fetakgomo TubatseLocal Municipality’s (FTLM) mayor, Eddie Maila, recently expressed his happiness with
the progress on the road linking Apiesdoring and Ga-Manoke villages.
Maila and his team conducted a site inspection on this 6km road last Friday, October 6.
The road is expected to be fully finished by April 2024. The contractors for the road is Mthombeni Construction, in partnership with Maunyatlala Shakwana and Big O Trading.

The project manager, Nicolas Malapela, said the project is at 35%. “We haven’t had any challenges with the communities and we anticipate to finish our work on time.
The two contractors have empowered local businesses around the two villages and we have employed locals.”
Maila said the FTLM aims to monitor progress on all its projects.
“We have to monitor all our projects to avoid disappointments.
“We will once again spend money to ensure local people get services. The FTLM administration will continue to
spend the municipal infrastructure grant. This is proof that the municipality intends to bring services to the people.
