Enter Lydenburg’s Got Talent now

This annual event is geared to uplift, inspire and transform the lives of dancers, singers and artists in town.

During Lydenburg’s Got Talent, local artists can showcase their talents and unleash their onstage potential. One of the biggest prizes of the event will be a recording and production session.
The semi-finals will take place on November 9 and 10. Interested dancers, singers and artists are required to register online before October 31. The best entries will be invited to perform on November 11.

The charming compère for the second year in a row will be Jacques Lombard from Mbombela. He is a restaurateur, a renowned singer and a celebrity in his own right.

The event will be held at the Lewende Woord Church in Lydenburg.
The gala evening, November 11, will commence at 18:00. A lot of surprises are in store for the audience during the gala evening.

 

Esmé Naudé, a renowned local artist, will judge the art. Her preferred medium is oil on board, and she has had 15 successful exhibitions. Her paintings are available in galleries throughout South Africa.

An international judge from the Netherlands, Roy Hoeben, will be joining the panel this year. He is a former world champion of the World Dance Masters and a passionate dance coach and teacher.

Franco Burger is a professional singer, songwriter, composer, voice teacher, sound engineer and music producer from Lydenburg, who recently moved from Cape Town. He has over 20 years of music and entertainment industry experience, both locally and internationally. As a songwriter, his past clients are South African Idols, The Voice, and Die Kontrak winners and finalists.

Rev Antoinette Wilson is a minister, theologian, speaker, writer, therapist, life coach and drama coach. She is passionate about life and excited to live out her calling.

Tanya Edwards-Smith has danced for over 43 years and trained in over 20 styles of dance. She has been an adjudicator and teacher for International Solo Dance Sport for 23 years and is the current secretary general for the Federation of Dance Sport Mpumalanga, involved in the solo and international dance sport disciplines. She is currently working on an exciting television dance show that will air next year.

Jan Neethling is a local teacher, musician, art enthusiast and micro-cattle farmer. He has sung in and conducted many choirs and given solo recitals across the country.

Entry fees are specific to the category; children who will be seated in the auditorium will pay R50; parents will pay R120; and the gala evening ticket prizes will be R150.
