Having fallen into a state of disrepair, causing significant inconvenience, residents who rely on the road for their daily transportation needs now enjoy a smooth driving experience.

With the project being completed, the road is now in excellent condition, making it easier and safer to travel.

The repairs have not only benefited the local communities, but provided employment opportunities for local labourers and small businesses during the construction period.

“Local small businesses played an essential role in the project by offering services such as guardrails and speed humps construction, security, fencing, electrical and water connections, among others, helping their
businesses to grow,” said the Road Agency Limpopo’s project manager, Brutus Matsha.

He said the scope of work included maintenance of drainage structures, pavement repairs, resurfacing erosion protection, replacement of guardrails, construction of speed humps and road signs to improve road safety.
