The Nelspruit SAPS have confirmed a business robbery at a well-known mall in Mbombela.
According to Constable Bongani Mokoena, a spokesperson for the Nelspruit SAPS, the members on duty received a complaint at 18:16 about a business robbery that had taken place at Edgars in i’langa Mall.
“According to the information, a group of about nine men stormed the shop armed with pistols and instructed the manager to stay calm while holding a security guard hostage.”

Mokoena said upon the police’s arrival at the scene they discovered the suspects had stolen an unknown number of watches and perfumes, with an estimated value of R300 000.
No shots were fired.
A case of business robbery has been opened. Mokoena said no one has been arrested yet, but the investigation continues.
