We Care 4 Nelspruit cleans Mbombela parks

The organisation strives towards clean and safe park places for kids to play in and adults to relax at any time of the day.

The We Care 4 Nelspruit organisation has once again jumped to it to clean the parks in the city as spring arrives.
The founder of the organisation, Pr TJ Maré, said their vision is to keep the city clean all the time and to ensure residents can relax in the parks.

“We want Mbombela to be one of the cleanest towns in the country, and have realised that the Government on its own cannot do it, so organisations and private businesses will have to chip in. We have cut the grass, picked up all the rubbish and placed extra dustbins at strategic points to avoid littering,” he said.

Maré also said they have cleaned up at the Rob Ferreira Hospital gate, prioritising the waiting area and installing extra dustbins, because that is where most littering occurs. They believe hospitals always need to be clean inside and out.

“As for the parks, we want our kids to play in clean and safe places, and adults who enjoy relaxing there should find it clean at all times. We want to make sure that grass cutting is up to standard and there are no plastic and broken bottles,” Maré told Lowvelder.
He said the organisation will do whatever it takes to make sure Mbombela is clean, and if everyone works together, it will make a big difference.
