Auctions for Africa opens its doors for business

Auctions for Africa will be implementing its promise of "If you can bring it, we can sell it," to the greater Lydenburg, Dullstroom, Burgersfort, Steelpoort, Machadodorp and Mbombela (Lowveld) area.

The founding member, Louis Fourie, said the company has grown from strength to strength over the past 11 years into 17 branches nationwide. Auctions for Africa is willing to travel for on-site auctioning of properties and movables countrywide.

They have 14 years’ experience in real estate, which is a huge bonus. To launch Auctions for Africa Lowveld in this area, a new state-of-the-art, safe and secure warehouse and storage facility has been put up next to the R36 with several auctions planned for the next few months.

The first big auctions will be hosted on Friday and Saturday August 5 and 6. The first auction will be in Burgersfort on Friday August 5 at 11:00. Eight spacious two-bedroom townhouses will be going under the hammer.

The units are spacious, have a garage, and are well situated in a safe and secure area across the school near the Engen garage at Elephants Hill. Bidding will start at R650 000 and the estimated value is R870 000 each.

On Friday afternoon, a well-known industrial factory with loads of cold storage, previously used by St. Pie, will be auctioned. The factory’s stand size is 6 690m² and the building is measured at 1 610m².

A 14ha farm (with a three-bedroom house and river) will be going under the hammer at 16:00 at 38 Breytenbach Street in Lydenburg. This smallholding is 6km from Roossenekal, near Kamoka Lodge, and will be sold without a reserve price. It offers a well-built three-bedroom house and a double garage with a boma and braai area. It has 6ha of plantable land next to the river with a clean water source at your doorstep.

Bargain hunters can also take part in the final auction on Saturday August 6 at 10:00 at the warehouse, with half a million rand in stock up for grabs. The warehouse is situated on the Badfontein Road (R36) near Kwena Dam, on your left going from Lydenburg towards Machadodorp.

Sellers can arrange to drop off items at the warehouse in advance, as the property has 24-hour security with 6ft security fencing to keep your goods safe and sound. Prospective clients are urged to register for all the auctions as early as possible – there is limited bidder capacity. No fees are expected to be paid upfront when listing items to sell. They also offer free storage for goods to be sold, which no other auction house in the area offers.

Auctions for Africa is a fully licensed auction house, registered with the South African Institute of Auctioneers and the SA Restructuring and Insolvency Practitioners Association NPC, which means they can assist with insolvent and liquidation auctions across the country.

They specialise in livestock, game, real estate, tools, earth moving equipment, trucks, cars, furniture, farming equipment, precious metals and stones, and antique auctions all over the country.
