A high school learner was knocked off his scooter on his way to school this morning, July 21, EmerGmed has confirmed.
The emergency service said a Hoërskool Nelspruit pupil (18) was en route to school when the accident occurred outside Laerskool Nelspruit on the corner of Van der Merwe and Ferreira streets.

“It is unclear who was at fault and the SAPS were on the scene investigating the cause. The learner sustained multiples fractures and abrasions. He was stabilised on the scene and transported to Mediclinic under the care of advanced life-support paramedics,” said EmerGmed.
