Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court postpones JJ Peters’ case to June

Peters will remain in police custody, for further investigation into the murder case of his grandmother.

JJ Peters reappeared in the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court today, April 25. His murder case has been postponed to June 8 for further investigations. He was remanded in police custody.

Peters had abandoned his bail application on March 16, he elected to use the services of Legal Aid South Africa to represent him in court.

Peters is accused of murdering his grandmother, Sannie Strydom Kilmister (68), on February 28. Kilmister was allegedly strangled by Peters, who had been sharing her house on a smallholding in the Cromdale area. She was found dead in her bedroom with various bruise marks on her neck and splashes of blood were found on her pillow.
