The man accused of the 2019 death of the local businesswoman, Letisia Niemann, appeared at the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court on Friday January 28, for what was supposed to be the start of his trial.
Johan Louwrens has been accused of being the driver of a hit-and-run outside Mustangs – The Dancing Place on September 28, 2019, in which Niemann was killed.
Louwrens appeared at the court on Friday morning, however, the building had been closed due to a Covid case. Court officials sat at the top of the steps instead, and gave new dates to those present.
Louwrens’ trial has therefore been postponed to February 25 this year.
