Charity washing line at Riverside Mall an overwhelming success
Emnotweni Casino and Hotels, Lowveld Media, Riverside Mall and Riverside Park would like to thank the generous residents of the Lowveld for donating to their cause.
These leading business entities in the Lowveld set up a charity washing line that was used to collect clothing, linen and blankets that will be given to charities to help the less fortunate. This was an extended Mandela Day initiative.
More than 250 kilograms of clothing, linen and blankets have been collected and are currently being sorted and washed.
The support for this project from the community has been heartwarming. Nearly 100 beneficiaries were nominated by the Lowveld community; those who received the most nominations are currently being notified that the clothing, linen and blankets collected will be distributed between them.
